(SUB)TROPICAL - Evoking Places In-Between with Plants and Flowers
Sydney | 23 - 24 January
Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm
The Palm House, Royal Botanical Garden
A botanical art workshop by This Humid House,
hosted by Chopsticks Studio
The subtropical is a threshold - neither fully tropical nor temperate, it occupies the in-between, where ambiguity fuels possibility. This workshop invites you to explore these edges through creative making sessions that combine individual experimentation with collaborative installations. Working across scales, from intimate arrangements to larger format installations, we will unpack the many interpretations of the subtropical, crafting works that evoke a sense of place and imagination.
No prior experience in floristry is required - this workshop is designed for creatives seeking a space to experiment and play.
